Margaret Boland is an award winning photographer. Having received a Fuji photography award during her early years of study, she continued her photography education at DIT in Temple Bar, Dublin. There she completed a four-year BA(Honours) Degree in Photography and Digital Imaging and was awarded the Best Photographer prize for her Graduate show. She received recognition for its conceptual and aesthetic merit from the Director of The Gallery of Photography and in 2006 Margaret, along with seven other Irish artists, was invited to submit a proposal for an exhibition organised by the gallery, in conjunction with the Central Bank.
She has exhibited as part of group art exhibitions in Filmbase, The National Photographic Archive, The Royal Hibernian Academy, The Bad Art Gallery, Pale Space Gallery Café and presently has work on sale in Habitats Contemporary Art section.
She worked, part-time, as a freelance photographer for some years before establishing her company, Margaret Boland Photography. With an arts background, her work practice is creative, flexible and original in content. Through a collaborative approach, she helps people to present themselves, their premises, or their product in a creative and favourable way. Her attention to detail and friendly and outgoing nature are winning factors in her photogaphic approach. Although she has used all formats of cameras, she works mostly with digital SLR's.
Margaret specialises in the areas of corporate photography, interiors, portraiture and art photography. She provides the creative and quality-driven approach to fulfill her clients' requirements.
Some of Margarets' clients to date have been Capital Bars, Atlantic Architects, The Hibernian Club, Dundalk Race Track and Harvey Nichols. More recently, The Court Services, Tech Group( developers and manufacturers of pharmaceutical delivery devices), Hardcopy (printers/sign manufacturers), Duffy Auctioneers, Aurora Aleson (Interior designer), Snap (printers), The Good Development Co( corporate training and coaching),Smartnote ( software development), Supermacs and Tabetex (textile manufacturers), with much repeat business from clients and commissioned portraiture projects.
